NEET SS 2025 Revised Exam Dates: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the revised examination schedule for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Super Speciality (NEET-SS) 2025.
The medical exam was earlier scheduled to be held on November 7 and 8, but was postponed a month before the exam. The reason behind the postponement of the exam has not been revealed. As per the official announcement, the exam will now be held on December 27 and 28, 2025. Each day, the NEET SS examination will be conducted in two shifts, i.e. the first shift will be conducted from 9 am to 11:30 am, and the second shift will be held between 2 pm to 4:30 pm.
As per the official notification released by the NBE, the revised dates have been approved from both the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). Additionally, the information bulletin of NEET SS 2025 will be notified on NBEMS website soon. Once released, the NEET SS information bulletin will be released at the official NBE website, i.e. natboard.edu.in.
Last year, the NEET SS exam was conducted on September 9 and September 10 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode in two groups: morning and evening shift.
A demo test will be available for the benefit of candidates to familiarise themselves with the Computer Based Test format at website. Applicant candidates will be able to access the demo test from the date specified in the information bulletin.
The NEET SS exam serves as the sole qualifying test for admission to DM, MCh, and DrNB Super Speciality courses under Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019. No other examination, whether at the state level or conducted by individual institutions, will be recognised for entry into these programmes.
The following medical institutions are not covered for admission to DM/MCh courses through NEET SS for the 2024-25 admission session:
AIIMS, New Delhi, and other AIIMS running super speciality programmes
PGIMER, Chandigarh
JIPMER, Puducherry
NIMHANS, Bengaluru
Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram
No state government or private medical college/ university, including the UT of Jammu & Kashmir, shall conduct any separate entrance for admission to their DM/ MCh courses for the academic session 2024-25.
