Fall Clinical 2025 Focuses on Practical Dermatology Education
In a conversation with Dermatology Times, Mark Lebwohl, MD, dean for clinical therapeutics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and chairman emeritus of its department of dermatology, previewed the upcoming Fall Clinical 2025 meeting and shared insights into what makes it one of dermatology’s most practice-relevant educational events.
As one of the leading voices of the meeting, Lebwohl emphasized that Fall Clinical is distinguished by its clinically focused programming and its audience of active prescribers. “Among those who participate, there’s an overrepresentation of clinicians who use biologics and JAK inhibitors,” he explained. “In fact, we surveyed our colleagues at the meeting a number of years ago, and 95% were using biologics.”
According to Lebwohl, Fall Clinical’s enduring appeal lies in its ability to bridge emerging science with everyday practice. The meeting attracts clinicians who are already engaged in advanced therapeutic management of chronic inflammatory diseases such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and alopecia areata. Sessions are designed to deliver actionable updates on new drugs and clinical data while addressing real-world implementation challenges.
“There’s a real concentration on new drugs—what you need to know about them, their best uses, and how to safely and effectively use them,” Lebwohl said. “A tremendous amount of clinically important information” is presented each year, with faculty focusing on topics that directly inform patient care.
The Fall Clinical meeting has historically served as an incubator for discussing the latest therapeutic options, including biologic agents and small-molecule inhibitors. The 2025 program is expected to feature updates on safety profiles, dosing strategies, and long-term management approaches for patients requiring systemic therapies. Discussions will explore evolving mechanisms of action, trial data, and strategies for optimizing efficacy while minimizing adverse effects.
Lebwohl underscored the meeting’s focus on practicality. Unlike research-heavy scientific congresses, Fall Clinical 2025 is tailored for clinicians seeking evidence-based insights that can be immediately integrated into their practice. This hands-on learning environment, he noted, allows attendees to compare approaches, exchange case-based experience, and refine their therapeutic decision-making.
As dermatologic innovation continues to expand, Fall Clinical remains an essential venue for clinicians striving to stay current with rapidly evolving treatment paradigms. With its emphasis on clinically relevant data and expert-led discussion, Fall Clinical 2025 is poised to continue its tradition of advancing the quality, safety, and precision of dermatologic care.
