SAFETY HARBOR, FL, November 04, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ — Bailey LeBoeuf Johnson, MS, OTR/L, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Johnson has built a distinguished career in occupational therapy and higher education, marked by progressive leadership and a steadfast commitment to access, equity, and innovation. In her current role as a curriculum manager in health-care education, she provides academic leadership across multiple allied health programs, overseeing curriculum development, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards, and leading large-scale initiatives to enhance educational quality and student success. Her work includes collaborating with program directors and faculty to strengthen instructional design, streamline processes, and implement data-driven improvements that support institutional growth. In addition to her broad leadership responsibilities, she has spearheaded projects exploring innovative responses to challenges in higher education—such as supporting neurodivergent learners, addressing test anxiety, and integrating artificial intelligence to enhance teaching and learning. Through these efforts, she has helped cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and educational excellence grounded in a commitment to improving lives through high-quality medical career education.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Johnson held a range of academic and instructional appointments, serving as director of clinical education, instructor, doctoral capstone mentor, and clinical preceptor. In these capacities, she provided academic oversight of clinical education, facilitated student learning in classroom and laboratory environments, and guided emerging practitioners through advanced fieldwork and doctoral research projects. Her contributions emphasized the development of clinical reasoning, professional identity, and reflective self-care practices—competencies vital to success within today’s complex and evolving health-care landscape.
She also draws upon an extensive clinical background in occupational therapy, with experience spanning mental health, aging, and community-based care. Her approach has emphasized evidence-based, person-centered practice focused on addressing service delivery gaps and promoting functional independence across the lifespan.
Among her most significant professional achievements, Ms. Johnson has demonstrated exceptional leadership in policy advocacy in Colorado, driving legislative change that expanded access to essential occupational therapy services for patients and strengthened the scope of practice for practitioners. From 2018 to 2022, she served as Public Policy Chair for the Occupational Therapy Association of Colorado, where she led statewide legislative initiatives and advanced key reforms that elevated and strengthened the profession.
Ms. Johnson spearheaded the establishment of occupational therapy education and services at the DAWN Clinic, a student-run free clinic in Aurora, Colorado, serving individuals without adequate health insurance. From 2016 to 2022, she designed and implemented the clinic’s occupational therapy program, secured donated equipment, provided direct patient care, and trained students to deliver compassionate, hands-on services. In this role, she also educated students across multiple health-care disciplines, fostering interprofessional collaboration and helping future practitioners understand one another’s roles to better serve patients. Her leadership expanded the clinic’s interdisciplinary scope, integrating occupational therapy into its model of primary and community-based care and advancing its vision of cultivating health-care professionals equipped to build a more connected and effective health-care system. The clinic itself was founded by her husband, Dr. Joseph Johnson, MD, in collaboration with the Fields Foundation.
Her commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is further exemplified through her collaboration with the Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD) on a national presentation at the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Annual Conference. The session, titled “Holistic Admissions Strategies in a Post–Affirmative Action Landscape,” provided timely strategies and practical tools to help educators and institutions support historically marginalized communities while aligning with evolving federal policies.
Ms. Johnson’s excellence has been recognized through numerous honors, including the Marjorie Ball Award of Merit—the highest distinction within Colorado’s occupational therapy profession—presented by the Occupational Therapy Association of Colorado in 2020, and the Dottie Davis Service Award in 2021, acknowledging her outstanding leadership and service to the field.
She holds credentials as a Licensed Occupational Therapist in both Colorado and Florida and is Board Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Her additional professional certifications include Trauma-Informed Educator (Community Resilience Initiative), Instructional Design for Vocational and Technical Education (Alison), and Mental Health First Aid for Higher Education (National Council for Mental Wellbeing).
Ms. Johnson attributes her success to persistence, compassion, and a deep sense of justice—qualities that continue to guide her commitment to improving systems of care, strengthening education, and advancing the health and well-being of others. Now based in Florida, she remains closely connected to the medical community through her spouse, Dr. Joseph Johnson, Medical Director of InnovAge PACE Centers in Florida. Together, they are raising two sons and embracing new opportunities to serve their community. Having recently relocated, Ms. Johnson is eager to contribute across the continuum of health and education by promoting health equity, strengthening interprofessional collaboration, and fostering the development of future healthcare professionals. She remains dedicated to advancing leadership, mentorship, and innovation to create meaningful and lasting impact on individuals, communities, and the broader landscape of healthcare and education.
